Overview

This page explains how to delete your Synapse account and all data associated with it. Synapse is an interactive storytelling desktop app developed by Clyrex. For details on what data we collect, see our Synapse Privacy Policy.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and data using either of the following methods:

• In the app — While signed in, open Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm. Your account and associated data will be permanently removed.
• By email — Send a request from your registered email address to clyrex9@gmail.com with the subject "Synapse Account Deletion Request". We verify the request against the email on file and process it within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

• Your email address and login credentials.
• Your display name and profile picture.
• Your stories, saved progress, likes, and other in-app activity.
• Any personal profile information associated with your account.

What May Be Retained

After deletion, we may retain a limited amount of data where required by law, or for fraud prevention and security purposes. Any retained data is kept only for as long as necessary and is not used to identify you for other purposes. Backups containing your data are purged on a rolling schedule.

Timing

In-app deletions take effect immediately. Requests submitted by email are completed within 30 days of verification. Once deletion is complete, the action cannot be undone.
